Grace Kids Christmas Countdown📕 Today’s Story: The Shepherd’s Christmas StoryThe shepherds are important symbols in the Christmas story. The angel of the Lord announced Jesus’ birth to the humblest, lowest people, and not to kings in their palaces or priests in their temples. As the Old Testament prophets said, God came in the flesh to us all, the highest and the lowest, and brings us forgiveness and the promise of eternal life. 📖 Verse: Luke 2:8“And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.”🖍 Activity: The Shepherds’’ Story Coloring Pagesundayschoolzone.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/the_shepherds_story_coloring_page.pdf 🎵 Song: Go Tell It on The Mountain video.link/w/6ACFd If I Were a Shepherd video.link/w/BACFd🎨 Craft: Make Shepherds for the NativityMaterials Needed: One toilet paper tube, glue, tape, marker, scraps of cloth, scraps of paperGlue cloth or paper on the roll for your Shepherd. The next key player in the Christmas story is Elizabeth, who was the mother of John the Baptist and the cousin of Mary, the mother of Jesus. She too was a woman of faith. When Mary came to visit her, God lead her by the Holy Spirit to say these words.Luke 1:42-45, Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb. 43 And whence is this to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me? 44 For, lo, as soon as the voice of thy salutation sounded in mine ears, the babe leaped in my womb for joy. 45 And blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord. She believed wholly that Mary's baby was the God sent Messiah and savior of the world. As you reflect on the Christmas season and its meaning have you concluded that Jesus is the God sent savior of the world and have you made it personal by receiving him as your savior?Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb.43 And whence is this to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me?44 For, lo, as soon as the voice of thy salutation sounded in mine ears, the babe leaped in my womb for joy.45 And blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord.Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb.43 And whence is this to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me?44 For, lo, as soon as the voice of thy salutation sounded in mine ears, the babe leaped in my womb for joy.45 And blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord. ...
